The small print

Your donations are carefully managed as unrestricted funds which means that they go into a central account for distribution to the nominated learning centre. The cost of running the centres is divided by the number of students to work out the cost to sponsor a single student. We will ensure donations are best used by adjusting where funds are spent if costs change, possibly reallocating donations to a similar learning centre.

The facilities provided by Switched On may be used for other worthy causes where there is spare capacity, or to raise additional income to fund Switched On's charitable aims.

You will, of course, be notified of changes deemed significant by the Trustees.

If you wish to visit anyone you are sponsoring who happens to be under 18 years, you will be required to pay for a criminal record check, and must be escorted by a Switched On representative. We hope you understand.

Personal data will be held securely on our servers, and not given to third parties without first seeking your permission. Financial information in electronic form will only be held by PayPal, which is internationally recognised as trustworthy.
